VRTrain™
The best way to promote the successful integration of any machine tool or technology into your manufacturing operation is through training in setup, operation, and maintenance. A comprehensive training program gives operators and maintenance technicians the necessary foundation to ensure maximum output from your machinery.
But not all training is equal. Research has shown that even the best instructor, with the best student taking the best notes, will retain less than 70% within a week. In practical terms, that translates to less than 70% efficiency for typical training programs. And, that percentage decreases radically when people are left to learn through videos or by reading printed procedures.
A simulated learning environment provides your employees with the tools they need to effectively learn how to perform even the most complicated operations. Product Animations, Inc. (PAI) Productivity Improvement Tools provide an interactive, 3-D virtual environment that allows operators of complex machinery to clearly visualize processes and simulate real-life situations.
Training program includes:
Chapter 1 - Roller Compaction - Material Flow
This chapter will help the operator learn to correctly identify the primary components of the Fitzpatrick Chilsonator and Fitzmill involved in roller compaction and milling. The operator will learn each part in the same order that material flows through the machines to produce a granulation.
Chapter 2 - Machine Parts and Tools
This chapter will help the operator learn to correctly identify the key parts, tools and ancillary equipment involved in compacting fine powders using a Fitzpatrick Chilsonator 4L-X10-D roll compactor and the subsequent granulation of the compacted material using a FitzMill.
Chapter 3 - Sieve Mesh Analysis
This chapter will help the operator learn step-by-step how to perform a Sieve Mesh Analysis for roller compaction including how to prepare a sample, assemble and operate the portable shaker as well as how to clean up after each sample as part of the operating procedure.
Chapter 4 - Bulk Density Analysis
This chapter will help the operator learn step-by-step how to perform a Bulk Density Analysis for roller compaction including how to prepare a sample, perform the analysis and clean up after each sample as part of the operating procedure.
Chapter 5 - Setup and Operation
This chapter will help the operator learn step-by-step how to setup and operate the Fitzpatrick Chilsonator 4L-X10-D roll compactor and mill including how to Check Set Screws, Set Roll Pressure, Fill Hopper, Prepare Sample Drum, Perform Pre-compaction Analysis, Recheck Roll Pressure, Perform Startup and Shutdown Sequence, Perform Compaction Analysis, Compact the batch and perform the end of batch sequence.
VRReference™
VRReference, our Flash-based line-side job aid, provides ready guidance at the machine for the operator and includes animated step-by-step operating procedures with links to existing OEM machine and spare part documentation.
Installed on any Windows based computer in the area, VRReference can include step-by-step operating procedures for minor and major cleaning, machine assembly, startup operation, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
